One of my 2 year old hens is starting to molt. she is losing feathers fast and i have had many birds molt befor but never have any acted like this.. she is almost slow moving and acts kinda sick. except she has clear bright eyes and no runny nose but she does have kinda runny poo. is she just under stress from going into molt?

Quote:One of mine did that when she was molting. I thought I was going to loose her but after a month and her feathers came back in she was fine. She didn't look to good for a long time. Sorry that's all I can tell you. Hope she's ok. [IMG]

I don't think they feel good when they molt. The combs and waddles get pale on mine. They are not as active either. I give extra vitamins at this time and healthy treats.
