Does my chick need help?

Thank you! Unfortunately the chick is quite disabled & was very weak by the time I freed it. It couldn't complete the rest of the hatch and was completely sticky by this point so it couldn't move and as it dried, set like concrete. I slowly released it and the yolk was well absorbed. I gave it a warm bath in my hand - carefully holding its head up, to try and get the sticky cement off so it could move. But I think I was just too late and the chick is too weak to hold its head up, its head is stuck to the side and its legs go different directions. I'm pretty sad about it but will take him to the vet to go to sleep soon :-( We'd done temperature of 37.5 for the entire time and 45% humidity to day 18 then from lock down at day 18 we did 65-70% humidity & never opened the incubator. It is an air forced incubator. Thanks for trying to help....

I'm sorry we couldn't help sooner.... Maybe it would be good to let it rest for a while, and then re-asses the situation? Even normal hatches can exhaust a chick and they'll sleep for a long while after they get out. But, I respect your decision to do what you feel is best....

Hopefully this won't be your last hatch?
