Hi! One of my chickens have something bad with her legs. I noticed it yesterday, I could not figure out what is it until I saw picture of ,,Scaly leg mites”.
My chicken is 6 years old, she has good appetite, I did not notice this issue with other chickens.
I know that you are not veterians, but, do you think Am I right? It could be possibly caused by mites? I am sorry for my english.

She looks to have a very mild case of scaly leg mites.
May wanna trim her spurs too.

You can soak her legs in warm soapy water and brush the scales gently to loosen them. Then dry the legs, and twice a week, apply petroleum jelly/vaseline thickly on the legs for about 6 weeks to smother the mites.

Thank you so much
