Does packing affect hatch of shipped eggs?

I am looking for feedback on if the way eggs are packed makes a difference in their end hatching success. There are a lot of variables between when an egg leaves the shipper and when the buyer receives it and most are out of our control but one that can be controlled is how the egg is packed. Its not just a matter of getting the egg to the buyer unbroken but also in such a way that they get an acceptable hatch.

if you are a seller how do you pack your eggs? Wrapped in tissue or foam, bubble wrapped individually or in a carton etc. and what type of feedback do you get on how successful your customers are at hatching?

If you are a buyer how are the eggs you receive packed and do you think it affects the hatch rate.

Not looking to criticize or critique anyone's packing. Just trying to see if there is a best way. Thanks.

I think it makes all the difference! I have had egg come 3,000 miles away. That have gotten very ruff handling by usps. The whole side of the box smashed in and three eggs where broke and I didn't get a great hatch but 6 still hatched.Dubble boxed with bubble wrap between the boxes with each egg individualy wrapped.

I bubble wrap each egg and stand them up and down instead of on their sides and pack them with news paper packed around and under them and make it snug enough that there is no movement. Hopefully!

I have received eggs in all kinds of packing material. The worst was straw. I had them in foam, each one bubbled wrap, some wrap in just news paper and paper towels, egg cartons, tissue, saw dust, bubble wrap and put in a egg carton. had them in plastic eggs that you buy for easter, egg carton in sawdust. I think that about covers it.

I personally like each egg wrap in bubble wrap and securely packed so eggs can't move around. I don't like packing peanuts or any styrafoam.

As far as success it depends. I have received info back that they have 100% fertility to 0% same goes for hatches. Most all the ones that want me to put fragile or eggs ect. on the package always have the least success.

I have received some very well packed eggs but they still got scrambled.

I am always happy if I can get at least one egg to hatch from shipped eggs.
