Does putting eggs in the fridge cancel out their fertility?

It's been a week since one of my hens went broody, she is on 6 eggs, two of those were in the fridge for two days before she started setting. I candled them today and all 6 seem to be coming along nicely.

I know this is an old thread, but it seems like a good place check.

Anyone have experience with reduced rooster hatches after refrigerating fertilized eggs? A friend of ours says she notices a pattern that when she hatches out eggs as normal and hatching out refrigerated eggs that she gets far fewer roosters from the refrigerated eggs. She says some refrigerated eggs just don't hatch and she thinks those would have been roosters. She still gets some roosters from the refrigerated eggs, just very few.

Anyone heard of this or done it?

I had eggs in the fridge longest 2 weeks and then my pekin went broadie so took them out and marked them and put them under her so far 95% success still have 4 eggs under her 3 aren't from the fridge also I didn't bring them to room temp just stuck them under her!! Maybe beginners luck or something haha

Hello Jody,
At what temp do you store the eggs in the fridge, I know that you can keep Bob White quail eggs in the fridge for up to 3 weeks at between 6 to 8 degrees c
