Just wondering. I have a hen, an australorp that has scaly leg mites and compared to the other girls, she has very thick legs. I don't have a picture, but am wondering if the mite infestation somehow makes their legs bigger from the damage they caused. Does this breed have thicker legs than others such as delawares and barred rocks? They are the same size as the production red rooster and he is a BEAST.
I got her this way and she is the only australorp I have, so I can't compare it to anything, except the other girls. And I know for a fact she has slm. Thank you!
