does a chicken who has bumble foot (on top of the foot) or who has a STAPH skin infection will that effect the eggs????, should we not eat them???????

I would say the eggs are fine. Eggs are in effect sterile on the inside unless there is a hull breach of the shell or membrane. Yes ecoli can be found in eggs, but ecoli is a bacteria which lives in side of the chicken's intestine. I do belive that the infected ecoli eggs are sterile to start with and it is poor after management that leads to the infection. Staph on skin or in the leg should be localized at the site of injury.

The eggs are fine unless the bird is on antibiotics. Violet has had her same infection on and off for a year, poor girl, and I've eaten her eggs all the time, except for periods of antibiotic treatment.
