Does the Breed " Rhode Island Reds" usually lay 1 Egg a day

Mine just started laying going on and off. I wanted to know When they starting laying and start getting the hang of it should I expect 1 day a day?

Just about I'd think. I would expect once they start laying and get the hang of things you can expect 5-7 eggs a week.

We only have 1 RIR, Miss Sunshine, she usually lays an egg every day. Taking a day off every now and then.

I have Reds and so far have had 1 egg per Red per day with a day off here and there. So far, so good!!

On average 5/6 week is good at least during the first year. Once they go through their first moult, they'll slack off but the eggs will be bigger.
