Well here is what I did

I know it's tacky but the larger coop is being built, so the yellow dog house will one day be remodeled for bantams and the dog kennel will be redone for marans and then the rest of my flock has a huge coop with nice run.

Looks nice! I wish I could position my teenagers next to the big coop, but my yard shape doesn't work. The teens are out-of-sight on the other side of the garage from the coop. I'll have to figure out a way to rig something like yours . . . thanks for the idea!
