Does the temp in a incubator decide if they will hatch early or late

Plz help I'm really new to hatching chickens and I'm hatching Rhode Island reds and white leghorns and I heard somewhere that if the temp is to hot or cold it will determine when they will hatch:lol:
 
That is correct. Hotter is sooner and cooler is later, but they both have drawbacks and can result in a lower hatch rate.
