I think with such big holes it would have shrink wrapped if mama got off the nest.

Yes, usually. What is the humidity in there? Have you read the Guide To Assisted Hatching For All Poultry?

We helped it out. We put a heat lamp in the restroom and turned the shower to get the humidity up. It came right out once we broke the shell up some... the membrane was dried... but it wasn’t attached to anything. Now we wait and see. Thanks for your advice.

That's awesome, good job! I think it was having trouble in there, it was probably happy to get out. I bet it will do just fine, it may take a little longer to find it's feet since it was hung up in there though. Update us with how it does!
