our spotted aussies are almost 5 weeks old. i have heard the light one quack really quietly in the evenings for a few days, but nothing out of the darker one. well today when i picked him up to put him back in the brooder he kind of honked. does that count as a girl quack? or does distressed sounds not count as early quacking (therefore female)?

When they are distressed is usually when you know if it is a girl. A loud honk can mean a girl. Boys just can't make that noise.

woohoo! that means two girls! well i guess i need to change his... er... um.... i mean her name....
