does this egg look ok the membrane?

I haven't hatched Plymouth rocks or RIRs but haven't heard anything about them being difficult. That's why I asked. But that doesn't necessarily mean they aren't.
I'm not one that does the wet paper towel wrap thing, but alot or people do it.

The last one that I had that was slow progressing, I also touched the wet q-tip on the shell, on the side of the hole which would start a counter-clockwise zip. I noticed the chick trying to eat the moister parts of the membrane, so I tried to "lead" it to the correct side. I dont know that it really helped, but it made me feel like I was pointing the way lol. Good luck!
lol. If it makes us feel better it's a go, right?

My first ever chick is out

well i pulled apart the brown dry membrane and it made it out the rest. I had one more pip externaly yesterday but blood came out and it died. It might be a lone chick but excited after 4 tries i finally got one to hatch i might be done for a while.

Congrats on your hatch Do you have any more eggs due to hatch? if not I suggest you try to get some chicks to go with this 1 as they get lonely

Xs 2. My first chick was an only and he was a lot of work....lol If you can find someone with little ones I would definitely grab a couple. Also a mirror and stuffed animal might keep him company for a while.

Congrats!
