Does this look like a roo to you?

Hi everyone

I have a chick that we are worried about. I think it might be a rooster, but I hope not. It is a Speckled Sussex, about 6 weeks old. I know it's too early to tell for sure, but I've never had a Sussex before, and have no others to compare this one to, so I was hoping that more experienced chicken parents might have some good guesses. The following pics were taken today.

The chick in question is on the right in this photo, standing beside his/her stepsister.

Looks like a roo. Combs looks like it's sproutin' up and really red.

Yup, also the legs are pretty thick. I have two SS hens.

I have 7 Speckles and to me that looks like a Roo....... I have 2 pullets about that size and neither of them has any comb growing yet at all........enjoy him, I have a Speckled Sussex Roo and he is majectic and beautiful.

I'd go roo, although I have never had a ss roo, only hens.
