Does this look like a Roo?

I got all 10 of my chicks at one time. 2 of which are Buff Orpington's. Here is a pic of both of them. One is much bigger and also well you can see the difference Does the first one look like a ROO?

How old is it? Do you have any pictures that show the neck and feathers on the back? My buff orp started to get quite the comb and wattles around 12 weeks and I figured great, rooster. Well she laid an egg at 20 weeks and has laid on every day since (at 8 now, she's in the box laying #9 right now).

My other buff orp I got at the same time is just now starting to grow her comb and wattles.

If it is younger and hasn't grown the pointy neck feathers yet that it will if its a rooster, you can part the feathers and look at the shape of the new ones growing in usually. The boys have pretty shiny, pointy feathers growing in and the girls are obviously blunt and rounded. Same with the saddle feathers. I would guess that bird is between 13-18 weeks though so you should be able to see feathers growing or already grown.

Well I got them from mypetchicken and they shipped out on June 17th..So that would make them about 11 weeks old? Give or take a week or so Here is another pic not sure if this is good enough for the feathers in the back I also have a blue Orp. and it is the same size as this one, however none of them have the comb and wattles like this one..lol

That sure looks like a pullet from the rear. Not familiar with the breed, but the back and tail area look like a hen.

With my math they are 8.5 weeks, assuming they shipped at one day old. Did you order pullets? Or straight run? At 8.5 weeks that is quite the comb and wattles and they are pretty red. Of course, could still be an early maturing hen who might start laying before 20 weeks but sort of doubt it. When did the comb and wattles start to come in? My blue orp roo started growing his around 4 weeks old and by 8 weeks was definitely a boy. This was him at about 6 weeks or so.

I agree with above though, does look like a pullet from behind with that fluffy/poofy saddle area.

I ordered all females...well I guess she is just one fast growing chick! So is my blue Orp! They are the same size and the blue orp was the smallest when I got them! Well I'm happy you guys think a female as I really did not want a roo, all though I would have kept him

My Pet chicken will reimburse your purchase if it is a rooster and you paid extra for sexing. I would check it out. My roosters all crowed between 12 and 15 weeks. Your Buff Orp looks like a rooster to me. The pullets combs do not turn cherry red until they ovulate. The roosters combs likewise turn cherry red when they are mature. The early crows are not polished and sound odd at first until the roo gets the hang of it. I hope you are not forced to rehome it if you have a rooster but if you do you should know pretty soon. I have heard Buff orp roosters tend to be really nice so I shall keep my fingers crossed for you.

That much comb at 8-9 weeks is male. He's just too young to have saddle feathers yet, that's why his hind shot looks like a pullet. Saddle and hackle feathers start around 12-13 weeks at the youngest, and I've seen Buff Orp roosters here be quite slow to mature, not getting sex feathers until 4-6 months old. But he's still male.

I love buff orps. That one seems male to me too. I've had a couple hundred of them and hatched them several times. As for size, chickens are like people in that they can mature at different rates according to pecking order and how much they eat. But, they all mature within a reasonable similar amount of time. That being said, none of my male buff orps had poofy saddles at that age.
