Does this look normal or are these eggs in distress?

These pipped yesterday. I know the chicks are still alive in there but are having any issues do you think? The other eggs have both since pipped and hatched. Is there anything I can do?

I think they are still working their way out. But I'm not an expert in hatching because I usually let a broody hen do that for me.

I would make sure that you keep the humidity high, like around the 80s. DO NOT open the lid cap, as I had one chick die because of a dried membrane. Just let them do their own thing, unless they have no progress for a little more than an hour. That's the time when you start helping them. They should be fine. Good luck!

We have one of those too! I’m just really worried about these eggs because it’s been more than 24 hours since the PIP and the others (Which were easter eggers) have all hatched who did not even pip until today. Also I spent more money on these eggs because they are ayam cemani.

They have been like that for over 24 hours! So no progress after 24 hours of initial pipping. Just sitting for that long. Is there anything I can do to help them?

Yeah. The membrane is very dry looking. Put coconut oil on the membrane so it becomes transparent. Look for any veins or yawning/chewing motions. It's time to assist I think. Read this article first though, and follow it very closely. https://www.backyardchickens.com/ar...poultry.72886/#lg=_xfUid-1-1591552275&slide=0

Not quite yet. You should wait until they start zipping, then help. If they still don't start zipping in ~2 hours at the most, you can ask me or other people of how to help eggs hatch. Good luck!

The article MGG posted is very accurate. You can use that. Some substitutes for coconut oil can be ointment, too.
