Does this look normal?

I did day before yesterday. But not last night. But it’s Sunday and she hasn’t laid an egg since last Saturday. Except for that soft shelled egg. Then there was all that yellow in her poop and that mass she pooped out. So there has to be something going on. She hasn’t been wheezing or breathing weird for me to think it’s upper respiratory. Today her poop looks more normal. She is outside now. So I’m hoping she bounces back.

If you are going to try treating with antibiotics then sooner is better than later. The more advanced salpingitis gets the less likely it will respond to treatment, truthfully it's a stubborn infection at best and most of the time it does not respond. There are some threads where people say their birds recovered, I sadly have not had one do so. I have used enrofloxacin, amoxicillin, penicillin, and clindamycin with various birds, with no success long term. They do tend to have good days on occasion, sometimes after passing a mass like that they will perk up for a while but it generally is a slow progression down hill. She may pass more masses, or they may stay inside her and slowly build up. Whether to treat or not is a personal decision of course. There is also sadly not a lot of really good information on salpiingitis out there as far as cause and prevention goes. I wish you the best, but it may not end well for her, I'm so sorry. :hugs

Update-

Still the same thing!

I let her out yesterday (from being inside) and she hung with the others. The rooster was so happy to see her back. She is scratching and eating. She is even drinking water. She didn’t lay an egg yesterday. Nor did she lay one last night from the roost. She hasn’t laid one today either. Today, she’s out and about. Running. Walking. Sun bathing and scratching the ground again. She’s eating bugs and hanging out with the others.

I gave her that saline solution on Saturday night and she didn’t poop a lot nor lay an egg.

She laid that mass thing on Saturday and hasn’t shown any more signs of that. (None that I’ve found)

I’ve also checked the bushes and the shaded spots that they hang a lot at. There aren’t any eggs there.

I have a sad feeling that she’ll hit rock bottom—quick!

Also- I have a bottle of Tylan

Can I give her a shot?
Eating/drinking and being relatively active is what I hope to see, even in the ones that I know have reproductive problems. I take each day at a time and enjoy them while they are here.
Once they decline and don't perk up with supportive care, then I put them out of their misery.

If I were going to treat Salpingitis, I would use either Baytril or Amoxicillin.

Tylan is a good antibiotic and may help with infection, it's more commonly used for respiratory disease. If that's all you have and you aren't able to get one of the others, then it's worth a try. What do you have? Tylan50? I would give a dose on the upper end of the range which is 10-40mg/kg so I would go with 30-35mg/kg which gives you wiggle room on the dosage - that translates to .28ml to .32ml per pound of weight, give it orally 3 times a day for 5 days. Clear as mud?!:D

@Eggcessive and @coach723 please check my math :)

So if she’s eating/drinking and hasn’t laid an egg still...is it guaranteed that she will “eventually” die?

Is death the end result - no matter what. ???

If you get the Baytril 10% liquid, the dosage is 0.05 ml per pound of weight given orally twice a day for 5-6 days. Do you know a rough weight on her? I would not put it in her water since it apparently taste bad and she may not drink the water.
I agree with all of this.
