Does this mean she will be laying soon?

My chicks are about 20 weeks and one of them keeps going in her nesting box but not laying.. Does this mean she is getting ready to lay her first egg? I am so excited I just hope nothing is wrong she keeps going in and out..

Yes, soon you will get eggs....They can take a few weeks of investigating before the first egg is laid....

Awesome the first eggs I got were small also , not sure when they get bigger though have heard weeks to months

Thanks, And she laid another one today

I have just 6 one leghorn one barred rock, Rhode Island Red, Easter egger and americana.. the only one who laid was the leghorn and she's the smallest hen..
