I said that all kinds of birds in the wild manage to lay smooth eggs, and that chickens didn't need any outside help to lay smooth eggs.

Who believes this kind of garbage??????

I think they may of got the idea that molting chickens lay more is that because battery chicken usually do not have alot of feathers. So if someone who see them and dose not know better it is easy to tell them that than the truth.
