with not knowing what is behind the chicken wearing sweater I will not place judgment. there may be medical reason and if so then its prob a good idea even if he is uncomfy just as my cat who has a cone on his head right now he is far from happy but its going to help keep him alive so its needed.

My nieces put small dog dress on my chickens they dont seem happy about it and it dont seem to hurt them they still eat and run around the yard my neice dont like it when they dust bath in the dress dont seem to hurt the chickens any, but htey only wear them for a short time and its no harm no fowl

I don't plan on dressing up my chickens anytime soon. They have feathers for warmth, and if all their feathers fall out they will make do until new ones grow in. I might foreseeably use something like that to cover a large wound to keep other chickens from messing with an injury...but other than that my chickens will wear their feathers and that is all.
