I have ducks and chickens together, although I am not so particular on what numbers of what breeds and what genders I want.... That being said, the chicjens do not mind being in with the ducks, as the chickens roost and the ducks are low on the floor... They have figured it out for themselves... Two of my ducks (Muscovy) decided that they prefer to sleep on the roof of my house. They are a bonded pair, and they will be spared freezer camp as they are quite the comedy routine. It also helps keep my neighbors at arms length as they think I am 2 steps away from clinical insanity...

As for the mating.... beats me!

We have leghorns, & runners, & a bunch of other birds. They all free range together, & roost in the same coop at night. No problems here! I have pics on my page of them, and even one or two of them all eating together!
