Thanks everyone for your replies - learning a lot here, sometimes laughing and sometimes want to cry - LOL!
We had to rehome our 5 month old JG roo because of the incessant crowing, he was encouraging our other roosters to crow with him all the time ... he had started crowing at about 6 weeks of age.
Much more quiet now that he is gone.
However we have a 4 month old cochin roo that hasn't started to crow yet, and I am counting my blessings until he does... we really want to keep him so hope he won't grow up to be a vocal terror!
