Does your music taste change depending on mood?

I am a total radio station surfer, I will listen to anything that appeals to me at the moment.
So yes, my taste must change with my mood. (Sorry, but I am never in the mood for rap crap)

My MP3 player has everything from Contemporary Christian, to Conway Twitty to Kid Rock. And it's set to shuffle, so I hear any of it at any time! Oh, the newer, tamer Kid Rock, not the rapping crapping stuff!

Setting my ipod to shuffle makes me feel insane!! The mood shifts are so fast it messes with my head! But, like others I have SUCH an eclectic selection that - whew!

Try Albannach and awolnation! Then throw some Peter Gabriel on top....

I like different types of music depending on my mood, but I love show tunes. My daughter and son used to run for the front door whenever I put on the soundtrack to "Hello Dolly" because they knew that was my "let's get the house clean" music!

my ipod has an automatic mood-changer for me.

example:

"M" category

Somehow Barry Manilow got in front of Metallica, then Moody Blues, then Motzart.

So I got " cant live without you",to "fade to black" to"I Don't Want to Go on Without You", to "Così fan tutte"

....nuff said

Yes.......

Stressful day after work - Harry Connick Jr, Michale Buble, Ray Charles, Kenny G

Working in the yard - Happy Mood - Oldies but Goodies

Household chores - Energized mood - 60's & 70's music or Big Band Music

It does a lot. When I'm serious, I tend to listen to classical music, and when I'm trying to wake up, I hit every single electronic/Chipmunk song I know.

However, I mainly shift from genre to genre every song. One minute I'll be listening to a rock/metal song about fighting your best friend, and the next minute I'll be listening to a chorus of people singing about how staying in a relationship you don't want to be in is akin to eating a huge cake every day.

Yep, but I'm stuck in the 70s. It's either 70s rock, 70s pop music or 70s country. I bounce between those three sirius channels.

I like hearing Ladytron music (especially the album Velocifero) when I feel depressed. When I'm happy, I enjoy Camel and some music by Madonna. When I want to go to sleep, I listen to David Garrett's album, Classic Romance.
Oh, and Darth Vader's theme is great for playing while doing math sometimes.
