Ok, my EE roo was dog mauled this morning defending my hens. He is missing lots of skin on his back, with a muscle deep three inch gash and two deep puncture wounds. I have treated worse injuries, and I'm pretty sure he will pull through. He has been thoroughly blu koted, and is in a dry, warm cage in the house. This happened eight hours ago, and I just now caught him. He is eating, drinking and generally acting chicken ish. What I need to know is how much amoxicillin can I give him? He weighs a little over ten pounds, and is just over a year old.
