Dog attack :( Does and don'ts and life expectation?

I read a handful of posts on this thread, and I have to say, you've done an amazing job! I'm so glad she's on the mend! You are awesome!
Thank you so much! I'm glad she's doing well too. :)

You really are awesome it was alot of work and care but you did it. Thanks for updating. Hey how do you know she wants to leave? 😉
Thank you! It was a learning experience for sure but I'm glad I got the hang of it. Haha, maybe she doesn't. I'm thinking of keeping her in our yard again today, I said I may let her go half-way thru today but now I'm on the fence. Her scab on her chest looks like it's peeled a bit on the edge, and I worry it might get ripped open and I won't be able to catch her. Otherwise she's doing great.

My hope is that there's healing flesh under there and not another open wound. A scab on her back came off but it didn't open another wound, and it's looking good, but then again it was a much smaller and shallower wound than the one on her chest...

You certainly exerted a yeoman effort. Congratulations on the improvement.
Thank you so much! :)

As a new update, I had plans to put her up for the last night this evening, but she got away from me when I was trying to catch her and the hen flew off and over our fence. She didn't go far so at least I was able to watch her and make sure my other ducks weren't being jerks to her.

She got down in the water by the drainage pond/stream by our house and seemed to have a blast splashing and bathing. One of my drakes got on her but she was very submissive and it was in the water so I'm hoping that means his nails didn't rip any of her wounds.

At this point its out of my hands and I did all I could. I feel like the hen will do very well, its just a nagging worry about her wounds and the flies getting to them. It could be there's healing flesh under the scab, though, so I may be worrying for nothing.

It was pretty funny, though, because there's an incline down to the water, and I was standing about half-way down it to watch the hen to be sure she was doing okay when the drake was on her. The rest of my flock followed over and were watching us so curiously. One of my other drakes wanted to go down there but I didn't let him. At least they weren't really going crazy, which I'm thankful for.

Maybe if I see her tomorrow morning I'll try to get a picture or two!
