How about getting some kwik stop or blood stop powder? TSC should have it.
Any place that sells parrots should also carry it like Petsmart. It works better than corn starch.

Hemostatic wound dressings work well. Something to keep in mind that some products generate heat as the chemical reaction occurs. I can’t tell by the picture which one wouldn’t generate heat. Quick Clot comes to mind as a product that doesn’t generate as much heat as others.
I never looked before but Walmart appears to sell it. They also sell a product that is made specifically for pets in their stores. They are closed today but I would think any pharmacy that would be open may have a quick clot type product.

I how is she today? Did she let it scab? My rooster had a wound where the neck was exposed to the bottom of his shoulders. I had a little bleeder but he couldn't reach it.

I wrapped it up just enough that she cannot get to it and so far, that's stayed on! The wrap is just loose enough that I can rub silver gel under it still! I'm relieved. Her face is a bit pinker and she ate well this morning.

Thank you. I'm going to look for it. I'm hoping it'll heal up enough soon that this part won't be such an issue but no idea when that might be.
