They will be back. You need to be ready. Be ready for them. I know around here once they find easy prey, they keep coming back.
If there are as many as you said, they may be in pac mentality. When I was younger. My Uncle lost a pen full of hogs (6) about 200 lbs at the time they died. Dogs from 3 different families got together at night. They got in my Uncle's Hog pen and they killed 1, slashed a couple of others and the ones who did not die had to be put down due to their injuries.
These dogs on their farms alone, never hurt anything, but when they got together they were different. Be careful.
