No, she is one of 7. She is definitely cheeping due to loneliness now. Especially when she can hear the others outside; poor dear. I don't want to put her back out until her limp is better. She is pretty clumsy now and I think they would pick on her.

Could you maybe select the most shy or docile of your other chicks and put her in with Matilda to keep her company? It might not work, but I think it is worth a shot. Just keep an eye on them at first to see how it goes. If there is still a visible wound, you could put a bandage or treatment like blu-kote or pick-no-more over the top of it to deter picking.
