Our dog got into the coop today while I was cleaning the nest boxes. He got the rooster and wouldn't let go. So, now the rooster has an area on his back about 3 inches long where the skin/feathers have been seperated from his back. There doesn't seem to be any damage to his muscles. He's a buff orpington, about 7 months old
and we have raised him from a chick. Should we seperate him? Or would that stress him out more? Is there anything we should do for him?
Hens go broody when you don’t want them to… and won’t go broody when you do.
