Dog attack question

Lots of protein to help her heal and grow feathers will be good for her now. She's going to be a spoiled hen!

I got some spray called Vetericyn at the feed store. It's pretty pricy - $32.99 for a 16-oz bottle, but I'm figuring it's going to last a good long time. I've heard it's a really good wound treatment.

I recently had the same thing happen...funny, my dog that got my hen was a terrier

I put her on a heating pad (put it on low under the crate) Then covered the crate to help keep her warm (left a little opening for air to get in and circulate).
With no feathers you want her body to work on healing...not trying to keep warm.

Yep - she has been made comfy in an extra room in the basement with a heat lamp off to the side (she can get away from it if she is too hot). Just coming inside from single digit weather, it probably seems like a sauna in here

These guys are cavalier X bichon and their dad the cavalier. Their mom could care less about the chickens, give her a good squirrel to chase any day!

The other dog was my 12 year old newfie X spaniel of some kind mix.
