Hi all. Was dog sitting the past week for a friend. Well turns out Cooper is not chicken friendly he ended up grabbing a hold of one my buff orps 3 days ago. Well good news is she didn't die but bad news is shes not trying to walk at all. She can move her right leg but not bearing weight and you can see brusing on her upper thigh and hip. Im not feeling anything broken but that dosent mean its not.I have her in the small coop I raise the chicks in and she is eating and drinking just fine.

My question is how much time should I give her to she if she starts walking?

I would give her a few weeks to recover.
Keeping her confined will help to limit her movement so she can heal.
