Well another update on nugget..

She can now stand on her right leg and put weight on it but that left leg just isn’t working right. When she stands, it goes out behind her, she tries to get it under her but since the toes still don’t work, it’s not working. I’ve been doing PT on her leg every day the last 2 weeks, stretching, massaging, helping her get it under her but it’s not improved in the slightest.

I’m going to call the vet tomorrow to euthanize. She’s been away from her flock for 4 weeks now (5 on Monday) and I think it’s just unfair that she’s been inside for so long and will probably have a really tough time reintegrating. It breaks my heart, she’s so sweet and just has had the best attitude through all of this. I’ve been trying to get her outside for at least an hour a day but it’s been SO hot here (heat index of 111 today!) that she gets really hot quickly and I don’t want her to be uncomfortable.

I do understand your dilemma and your choice better than you know I just went through that here with a bird
