I feel horrible my welsh harlequin hen got bit by my moms dog. She has one puncture wounds by her left side leg but she is still able to use it. She won’t walk and I’m trying to stop the bleeding with a gauze and I tied a wrap around her. What other kinds of things can I do to help her? She still moves her head around. Note I also washed her off with straight water before wrapping her wound

Is the blood flowing or a slow drip?
How deep is the wound and do you have a picture?

If the bleeding is starting to slow down you can start wound treatment, but if it is a steady flow stopping the bleeding with applied pressure will be your first priority.

Shock/wound treatment:
Right now she's in shock and may not eat or drink much for a day or two. She will also seem very lethargic which is normal for shock. Do not force her to eat or drink while she is in shock as it may stress her out more, but I would consider buying tube feeding supplies in the event that after a day or two she doesn't start eating on her own. Keep her warm and somewhere quiet. For the wound it first needs flushed with Chlorhexidine, iodine or a homemade saline solution. Then use either plain old Neosporin (not with paint medication) or a poultry safe wound spray. If you don't have it on hand already I would get some poultry vitamins to give her.

I just went to change out her gauze and turns out she has 2 injuries. These where the best pics I could get right now before I rewrapped her. Maybe I will keep re wrapping her until the gauze come back clean

As far as blood loss goes that actually looks like your best case scenario for puncture wounds. I would go right to treating the wound as infection is going to be your biggest hurdle with puncture wounds from a dog's mouth.

We have a hen that was attacked by a dog years ago. We had great luck using Rooster Booster Wound Spray. https://www.roosterboosterproducts.com/our-products

Along with diligent flushing/cleansing of the wound, this stuff worked wonders as we nursed her back to health.
