Dog attack

I need some feedback from the group.!. A dog gets attacked my flock and injured one of my egg laying hands. She has a compound fracture of the femur and I'm trying to decide if it's worth the effort of taking her to a vet or if I should just have her put down humanely. I've not had this injury experience so I'm not sure about the probability of it being viable
 
I would take her to the vet for any kind of chance that you can to save or help her....... I'm not a perfect expert on chickens ( I'm better with ducks and geese )so I don't know if someone else can help so I'll comment to boost post! I hope she'll be ok! :(

She is a duck. About the years old. The fracture is very high up. This stinks. Thank you
 
Most compound fractures will get infected into the bone if not treated by a vet. A femur fracture in a chicken is not very likely to heal well, but I have no experience in this happening. I would see a vet for treatment, or consider putting the chicken down. I am sorry. Here is a good link to read about femur fractures needing to be pinned and prognosis:
