Dog attacked my flock

I've been reading up, and lots of people discourage heat lamps in the coop for some pretty good reasons. We've never used one, but I'm wondering whether we need to provide a little extra heat for my hens that survived an attack today. Three or four of them have bare patches where a stray dog 'played' a little too rough (they've been safely secured since then), and with the temperatures getting down to the mid-20's tonight and the teens a little later this week I'm wondering if they need the extra heat at night. Any advice?

TIA!

I've had a dog attack my White Chinese flock and two other times had a very sick goose. The vet said to keep them warm, confined and watered until they'e feeling better and eating in a couple of days.

wonder if the old "Lectro Kennel," dog heating pads would be of good use. They do not get hot if you have the rheostat but, if your birds would lay on it - they'd get a pleasant warmth.
