I had a neighbors dog attack my turkeys only 2 got injured one with a broken wing and the other one had some tail feathers pulled out and you can see the skin and had been bleeding a little bit. is there anything that I can do to help them. we don't have a vet that speacializes in farm animals where we live. So any advice that can help would be great thanks

The one with tail feathers pulled out, you want to clean the wound area well with mild soapy water, and spray vetircyn spray or apply Neosporin. Maybe trim back any feathers that are likely to stick to the wound. Keep it clean. The broken wing is more of a problem. You can try gently folding the wing into it's natural position, and wrapping it so it is held in place against the body. Something like vetwrap is good, as it will stick to itself. Do not wrap too tight, as you can restrict breathing and circulation. Good luck. Maybe some turkey folks will chime in, I'm just giving general first aid advice here.

It depends on how the wing is broken as to whether it is repairable or better to remove it. If it is a compound fracture with the bones sticking out, it is better to remove it at the injury. It will never fly again but it can live without part of a wing.

The one with the tail feathers missing does not need any attention. It is a defensive mechanism for them to release feathers when they are grabbed leaving the predator with a mouth full of feathers.

Welcome to BYC,
you never put blue kote on before thoroughly cleaning the wound first, I would after cleaning it and putting some antibiotic cream on it especially with what attacked them. I would Isolate and let heal, you need to be able to watch for signs of infections too

Runs to find more coffee
