I have purebred GSP's and had a litter of 9 pups. My girl was a little nervous at first and I had to help break the first sac but she took right too it after a bit and delivered all 9 perfectly. The natural mom instinct kicks in and takes over. I sat in the whelping box with her and just tried to keep her calm. Good luck !

Just to contribute to this I had one litter and was done. I love my girl and I didn’t want her to be a puppy fact

You can get her spayed. You can also keep her away from your male.

But you can get your dog fixed if you can’t separate them.
