dog bit chicken help

    hey everyone i went out this afternoon to my dog over my chicken only to find one about 1 inch puncture wound on the back of its neck...any tips for recovery i sprayed a spray that i used for sheep wounds i dont know how that will go..help in steps to recovery??

    Keep it clean, keep it covered in the wound dressing you used and monitor for signs of infection. I don't like to use antibiotics unless it is clearly warranted, so unless she has an obvious infection I wouldn't bother starting her on anything. A little extra protein in her diet may help speed the healing along.
