Dog bite- injured Chicken

A dog broke through our back fence yesterday and killed 2 of our family pet hens and bit another on the leg. I have the injured hen separated in the garage and have food and water for her in there. I also went to Tractor Supply today and got some blue antibacterial spray and some oxytetracycline to put in her water. I am now reading that it tastes bad and she won't drink the water. There is no sign of infection as of yet, but the skin is broken and she seems in pain. Should I go ahead with the antibiotics or wait to see how she is doing? I am not feeling hopeful she is going to make it, but I want to give her the best chance.

I would try plain water for now. Antibiotics may not be necessary. Can you post a picture of the wound? Cleaning the wound once with betadine, chlorhexidene, or Spraying it with vetericyn nay help. Plain antibiotic ointment is good instead of Vetericyn. Watch for redness, swelling, pus, or a bad odor at the wound site.

Unfortunately our hen did not make it. She was seeming so much better but I guess there may have been internal injuries. She curled up, head tucked to sleep, and that is how we found her. Thanks for the input.
