Read the label. If any of the 1st 3 ingrediants are corn, pick something else. I am using 4-health which comes from Tractor Supply. It is AWESOME premium for around the same price as IAMS. Purina Puppy chow is garbage, although purina O.N.E. isn't too bad. http://www.tractorsupply.com/content/storeevents/4health
Here is a link with a site about dog foods. Not all foods are on it, I think I saw a better chart somewhere else, I will try to find it, until then here is some helpful information. http://www.dogfoodscoop.com/dog-food-comparison.html

however, im planning on switching to raw once i move and will be raising the very rare puppies i do assist on bringing into this world on home ground prey modle raw too.
Purina Pro Plan Performance. Why, years of research, been starting dogs on it and keeping them on it for their whole lives (up to 15 yrs so far), no recalls for killing dogs.
Innova, super expensive and super good for them. They are truly spoiled but we did the switch for arthritis problems and haven't had to use meds since. We tried to do raw and add the glucosamine but they couldn't make the transition without so much digestive upset I gave in and went back to dry.

it can take a bit of time for the system to detox from the kibble. start with one protein source (chicken is easy to get) and then after a couple weeks add one more protein. etc etc
