DOG EMERGENCY

That's good. I really hope they can help her. I'm pulling for her!

Well, I think she's okay now. Here's what I think happened. She does have severe gingivitis and dental disease, and we have been giving her antibiotics. however, for a while, she was dripping blood from her mouth because of the gingivitis. I think so much blood got in her stomach that it caused her to vomit it up and make her sick.

That's my theory. However, I will keep an eye on her, and if it starts to get worse again, I will definitely take her to the emergency vet.

At 10 I am guessing she is not prone to chew on inappropriate things.....

Keep a REALLY close eye on her.
My girl went from looking kinda off to almost dead in 12 hours.

I am really hoping it was a one time thing.

All 3 piles were pretty large. Just curious, why do you ask?

Vomiting large amounts of bloody foamy puke is hitting MY panic button pretty hard. If it was her teeth causing the blood I would expect a small pile and only once.

I advise you to call the emergency clinic. Calls don't cost a thing.

How is her hydration? Do you know how to do the skin pinch test?
What color are the healthy areas of her gums?

What color and texture was the blood? Can you post a pic? Was it bright red like when you cut yourself or blackish like a scab? When is the last time she ate and what do you feed her?
