Dog food

Quote:
Costco is just as bad as supermarket food. Essentially what Costco/Vons/Trader Joes/Sams Club does is take label by say, Iams, and sends it in to a mill. They ask for the same nutrition analysis, at a cheaper price.

People forget that the dog food industry has NO standards whatsoever on how meat should look or come from, Purina uses ROTTING MEAT in their foods. Our neighbor sends his dropped dead cows (up to 2 DAYS OLD DEAD) to that same company who makes the above mentioned supermarket foods...

As for feeding dog food...I wouldnt for so many reasons. There are other ways of increasing egg productivity and getting protein in.

Only Costco's food doesn't have the fillers that IAMS has. No corn, no soy, etc. All the grocery store brand have corn and soy and such in them.

My little dogs cannot handle any of the grocery store brand, but they do just fine on Costco's food. No tummy issues at all. If I leave town and someone feeds them the other big brands, I almost always end up at the vet with serious intestinal issues.

I dont know too much about name brands but my poor old dogs would eat gravel if it had bacon grease:plbb
