Dog Got my Girl Broken Toe

Hello.
My husky got my 10 week old chicken tonight. She doesn't have any sever words but her toe is broken. We splinted the toe and have her inside but I have no idea if that is the right thing. These are our firsts. Help Is so appreciated.

It sounds like the right call; keep her warm and quiet with easy access to food and water. She might not display evidence of pain or distress but that doesn't mean she's not hurting- chickens attack weak and ill flock members because those birds attract predators and make the flock vulnerable. Treat her the way you'd like to be treated if you broke your toe.

I have a Siberian Husky/German Shepherd mix who has a very high prey drive. She can't be off leash if there are any other animals within sight. She's also killed several of our chickens, so I know how you feel.

Thank you so much. Unfortunately my husband checked on her and she didn't make it. I am heart broken but know it wasn't my dogs fault. We learn new things about them everyday.
