Dog kennel chain link panels are false security?

It happened again. Friend called and was hit by a stray dog today (lucky no dead birds as it could not fit thru the chicken door)

His run is dog kennel panels but we saw that not every end of the wire was secured to the pipe frame. The dog pushed thru the gap between the cheezy factory fasteners and pulled one loose and got in the run.

Please check along the base of your panels and make sure you are as secure as you think you are

I have a dog kennel as one of my chicken runs but I have added wire all along every edge to reinforce the fence then I added hardware cloth along the bottom all the way around. The newer kennels are not made nearly as strong as the older ones. I had a German Sheppard go right through the chain link of a new kennel once. He just worked at it until he got through.
