Assuming it is a chainlink dog kennel (actually called a run). Openings in the chain link panels are large enough for small preds to get through , and predators like raccoons can reach through and bite off any chicken parts they can snag. You can remedy this by attaching 1/2" hardware cloth to the inside of the chain link panels at least to the height of 2 feet. That should take care of raccoon snatching. But if you have weasels and minks etc. they would climb higher or dig under.

Thanks so much! Im gonna look into it all today. I wanted to have the chickens out during the day we live on 2 acres. Heres some pictures of it. I use it for my goats when they need to be put up.
