This little ham is Noah! my 4 month old cocker spaniel-I had to have him because he was the same colors as Paco and he was the runt-no he is a huge love bug too-and chews everything his favorite stuff to chew-paper towels and napkins! MONSTER!!!

I've heard of Carolina dogs, but I've never seen one before. Are they rare, or do I just have my head stuck under a rock?

They are a rarer breed - more commonly found in the Southern United States. I honestly have never heard of them before I found out about Sabina, lol and most shelters tend to tag them as Shepherd mixes. From what I was told the breed originated by crossing North American Dingos with Sighthounds, and that the Carolina Dog isn't entirely domesticated yet... they do make a really nice family pet though, but can be a bit quirky and aloof at times.

They come in 3 different coat types and various colors and markings, but the most common is a golden sand color or a ginger red color. The breed is pretty varied looking depending on coat and color combination, but the dog itself has specific traits and characteristics that are it's "signature" and are only found in the breed (or breeds that originated from it).

Here are a few helpful links that I came across on the breed:

They are quite interesting...

Here is my beautiful heart-of-gold dog, Princess Winifred the Wonder Dog! Sadly, she died in January exactly one month after these pictures were taken. She was almost 12 and my first baby! She left a huge hole in our family...

Here she is looking gorgeous while searching for hawks.

And our new puppy Scout, a Dutch Shepherd/Chow mix. She's crazy! But we love her so much--she's a very funny, smart girl. Someone on here mentioned how they taught their dog to ring a bell to go out, and I taught her that in about 2 days. Well, maybe she taught herself!

Beast was given to me by my mil because he wanders off and he was given to her because the man who had him had problems out of his neighbors who were scared of him. I've had him for several years now.

Isn't he just vicious looking?
