This will probably sound like a wierd question but what does everyone do with their dog poop? I try to keep it all cleaned up and I put it a 5 gallon bucket hoping my dh will bring it to the dump. Well after my first big spring poop clean up I had a bucket load and I'm thinking he brought it to the dump. I spent most of my day walking the property searching and scooping. Well no he took it and dumped it in an area that I am planning on clearing and planting a flower bed and grass. (He knew this) Now I have to clean it all back up again.

Other times he has buried it. Buried for him is some leaves and sticks over it. So what does everyone else do?? I did put some trash in the bucket before thinking it may trick him into taking it.

Easy: The dogs dig holes in inappropriate places. Scoop the poop into the hole. This serves the additional purpose of training the dogs not to dig inappropriately. And let me tell you, the grass grows REALLY green on top when the hole finally gets filled in!

I trained my dogs to poop in the brush and woods. I only have to clean the yard in the spring because the don't go far when the snow is deep. And that I throw it into the woods. That's right in the spring you can see me flinging poop around. lol

rhondapiper]They sell systems that work like a septic tank for dog waste. Here's a bunch on amazon:

I use to have one of these years ago when I had greyhounds and they were in a smaller fenced in area. It really didn't work as great as they claim. It wouldn't be such a big issue to leave it because it is such a big area and it seems like it rains here every other day but there has been too many of the "what's that smell" or "what is that on the floor" moments from the kids dragging it on on their shoes and the dogs bringing it in on their feet. Bleck!!

Mow it over - its free fertilizer.
Or our puppy eats it, so alot of the time we dont even have to scoop. I know ita bad since she can get bacteria and all but its so funny.

I'm like rosalind, I put it holes that my little digger has dug! It seems like if I try to fill those holes up, there is never enough dirt, and I still end up witha big dip, but I can go around and gather the poops and put it in the hole, and then use the dirt to cover it over, and no ones is the wiser. My husband has a burn "pit". At one point he told me to throw the poop in there so he could burn it with the yard debris. I only did that once.... It was stinky! I like my way better
