Tylanol, not aspirin, is lethal for dogs. Years ago my vet had me give my arthritic Basset Hound buffered aspirin pills every day. It helped him. While aspirin is OK for dogs, it is my understanding that it is not OK for cats.Aspirin can cause fatal poisoning in dogs. I wouldn't advise using any human pain meds at all.
