Dog problems

From my understanding baby aspirin is safe for most dogs for short term use pending they have the correct dosage for their size. There are some dogs that are allergic to it but for the most part it's fine Acetaminophen is NOT. NSAID is normally safe short-term and with correct dosage. I've actually known a couple vets that have recommended baby aspirin for small short term injuries
I am not a veterinarian for sure though but that's what I've always understood
But I do have to agree there is always a small risk any time you gave a pet medication especially for the first time of any sort

Aspirin can cause fatal poisoning in dogs. I wouldn't advise using any human pain meds at all.
Tylanol, not aspirin, is lethal for dogs. Years ago my vet had me give my arthritic Basset Hound buffered aspirin pills every day. It helped him. While aspirin is OK for dogs, it is my understanding that it is not OK for cats.

That's always wet I've been told even by event NSAID (asprin) safe. Acetaminophen (Tylenol) very dangerous. And I've always been told neither for cats. Cats are so difficult

I don't even have a child anymore. Well mine is 17 and I always keep a bottle of buffered aspirin and baby aspirin around. Seems to be safe to give to ALMOST any animal pending correct dosage. I've had to give it to my dog at a couple points once for my chickens and once for my goats and pig
