Dog question - kind of emergency

It is is SOME animals, such as dogs, who have a bone in their penis and don't depend on testosterone to achieve an e.rection.

Sparky is all over his shock now and my grump is being kept away from EVERYONE. She hates it.

Well, I am going to put this simple.
A male is a male. If they think there going to get some, they will! Haha, ok serious time...
They still have the instinct to mate, even though there testicles are gone, the instinct is still there, only dulled.
Just keep an eye on your girl, because on rare occasional they can develop an infection. Very rare, so dont panic about it ^^
Just keep them all separate to prevent any further accidents. ^^ Its not really anything you should be worried about, he is still neutered, just probably overly eager then most XD

The infection is called pyometra,my old lady is a vet and says it's very common especially in older female dogs.

I had a Dobe who was neutered young but would still get it with the ladies. No puppy worries, but that can introduce bacteria and set her up for pyometra. Unless she is a valuable breeding grump, I'd wait til she's out of heat and then have her spayed.
