She swished her tail to say that she heard him.she headed along a path

The little black pup scampered out of the bushes when the other wolves had gone."hi"! He said to spirit.

Lorcan stopped suddenly, on high alert. He looked around suspiciously.
Wiley lifted his nose to the air and let out a cry. "Behind us!"
Both dogs turned towards Catir and went into fighting stances.

Catir leaped out from the bushes and snarled.

A loud cry in the distance prevented any drama from commencing.
The two dogs and the wolf exchanged knowing glances and Catir raced towards the sound with Lorcan and Wiley hot on her heals.
By the time they got there it was too late.

Catir stared out over the water despairingly before she turned to Princess. "What happened," she demanded, her tone harsh.
